SHEENA McCURRACH ART

Sheena McCurrach's work as an artist is defined by the landscape around her;

its colours, flora and fauna, light, shade and shadow.

Her paintings resonate with sensitivity to her surroundings and suggest much more than the visual.

Sheena lives in in rural Kirkcudbrightshire, Galloway; in an ancient mill cottage where she has established a studio in an old stone building set amongst the richly patterned fields and by the shores of Woodhall Loch.

Sheena currently has work on show in three exhibitions in Dumfries and Galloway. The first is with the DAGFAS (Dumfries and Galloway Fine Art Society’s) Summer Exhibition at the Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries from 4th July until 9th August.

She is also part of a permanent exhibition at the Gallery in Laurieston, in good company, and under the professional care of photographer Phil McMenemy  and you can enjoy freshly made coffee and cake while you’re there!

And finally there are some lovely paintings on show in  Johnathan and Malcolm’s lovely Samphire Gallery, in King St Castle Douglas as part of their Summer ‘Galloway Landscape’ exhibition. This is also a great place to enjoy refreshments and home-made cake !
